Mandatory use of Face Masks

The Directorate of Road Traffic and Safety Services (DRTSS), would like to inform the general public that as one way of preventing the spread of Corona Virus (COVID-19), all DRTSS clients are requested to wear face masks, effective from Wednesday, 1st July, 2020, and failure to do so the client(s) will not be served. Please take note that the client must ensure that the face mask cover the nose and mouth completely and it should not be lowered when speaking, coughing or sneezing.

The Directorate further wishes to remind all its clients to strictly observe the following preventive measures in order to contain the spread of the corona virus:

  • Wash hands thoroughly and regularly with water and soap or use alcohol  based hand sanitizer;
  • Always maintain social distance of at least 1.5metres;
  • Cover your nose and mouth  with your bent elbow or a tissue when coughing or sneezing;
  • Do not visit DRTSS offices if you have flue like symptoms.

Please take note that these measures have been put in place to help protect all DRTSS clients and officers. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
